About

LocalCloud Inc. builds LocalCloud, a local Google Cloud emulator. One Docker container serves 25 Google Cloud services on localhost, so you can develop and test Google Cloud code without a GCP account, credentials, or a cloud bill.

## Who it's for

- **Developers** who want BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Spanner, Cloud Storage and the rest of their stack on their own machine.
- **CI pipelines** that run integration tests against real Google Cloud SDK calls without a shared test project.
- **AI coding agents** that need a local Google Cloud target with no credentials or billing project. See the [agent guide](https://local.cloud/ai/).

## Pricing and license

LocalCloud is free during the public preview, with no account or license key. Open-source projects stay free after the preview ends. Use is governed by the proprietary [LocalCloud Public Preview License Agreement](https://local.cloud/license/); [pricing](https://local.cloud/pricing/) and the [licensing summary](https://local.cloud/docs/licensing/) explain what it permits.

## Where it's built

LocalCloud's public home on GitHub is the [LocalGCloud organization](https://github.com/LocalGCloud). It hosts the [CLI](https://github.com/LocalGCloud/localcloud-cli) and its signed releases, the [Homebrew tap](https://github.com/LocalGCloud/homebrew-tap), and the source of this website. The runtime image is published on [Docker Hub](https://hub.docker.com/r/agentcloud/localcloud). Release history is on the [changelog](https://local.cloud/changelog/), and the [security page](https://local.cloud/security/) shows how to verify what you install.
